Discover El Caminito del Rey, one of the most demanded touristic visits in the last years in Andalusia. Walking along the paths set out on the walls of the gorge is really impressive. A journey in a unique natural environment through an impressive path that crosses the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes in the province of Malaga.
The name of El Caminito del Rey dates back to 1921 when King Alfonso XIII crossed the path, after the Conde de Guadalhorce dam or reservoir was inaugurated.
The route runs between the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoir and the town of El Chorro. It is a walk parallel to the railway tracks where you can walk and enjoy the famous route of the Gaitanes and Gaitanejo gorge, with areas barely 1 metre wide.
The tour will start from the municipality of Ardales and end in the municipality of Alora. The route consists of 7 kilometers totally conditioned and safe. The estimated time of completion is two and a half hours, which we will do at a gentle and relaxed pace. A beautiful experience for nature lovers, with spectacular landscapes where you can take impressive photographs.
