We go through the Plaza de la Merced, observing all the perspectives of the neoclassical Obelisk that stands in the middle as a tribute to General Torrijos. From there we can see the birthplace of Picasso, which Foundation promotes since the end of the 90's many and varied works to publicize the painter further than the House where he was born.
Here, on our Segway, we reach the Roman Amphitheatre, built by César Augusto in the ancient Roman city of Malaca and that was discovered in 1951 during the construction of the Palace of Archives and Libraries (House of culture).
In the middle of this journey through time, we will go to the Alcazaba, palatial fortification of the Muslim period at the foot of the Monte Gibralfaro, and allow ourselves to be seduced by the story and the beautiful views of the Bay of Malaga.
Returning to the city, we rolled up to the Plaza de Uncibay which gets its name from the Basque captain Fernando de Uncibay, who led the conquest of Malaga under the command of the Catholic monarchs. We continue our journey through the Plaza de la Constitución to the famous Calle Larios, built in century 19th by the family of the same name and converted today into the fifth most expensive shopping street in Spain.
Back to our starting point, we travel to finish the wonderful Paseo del Parque, which houses inside the Town Hall and that constitutes one of the most important parks in Europe in terms of tropical flora.
Thus we return to Pier One with the feeling of travelling between an old and a new Malaga.
