Read this information carefully:
The Jewish quarter is located in the heart of the old quarter of the city of Girona, in carrer de la Força, above the old "cardo máximo" of the Roman gerunda.
It is assumed that the Jews arrived in Girona around the year 890, but it is not until 1160 that we find the documented presence of Jews in the city in the cathedral archives.
Girona's Jewish quarter is one of the city's most emblematic areas. It is made up of a labyrinth of narrow streets and courtyards that still preserve their medieval atmosphere.
Today it is a sign of the city's identity and part of its identity.
