around Madrid in just one day! Discover two of the most historically important cities on the Spanish plateau and World Heritage Sites: Avila, known for its 12th-century walls, and Segovia, home to one of the best-preserved Roman aqueducts in the world.
In addition, visit the Monastery of El Escorial and its basilica, burial place of the kings of Spain. We will leave Madrid early in the morning towards Avila, where we will make a stop at the viewpoint of the four posts. Then we will go to the city to start the guided walking tour, we will pass by the Sanctuary of San Vicente and the Cathedral and of course the city walls.
Then we will go to Segovia, our guide will explain us all about the creation of the aqueduct by the Romans, we will continue our route through the streets of the city centre, we will pass by the Cathedral, continuing through the district of the Canonjías, until we arrive at the famous Alcázar, symbol of the art and history of Spain. There you will have free time to have lunch, do some shopping or visit some of the monuments on your own.
Once the break is over, we will go to El Escorial, for a guided visit inside the monastery. There, hand in hand with our guide, we will discover this architectural ensemble that includes a royal palace, a basilica, a pantheon, a library , a college and a monastery.
