Day Trip from Almeria To Cabo de Gata

With the help of a local guide, you will get to know one of the most beautiful areas of the western Mediterranean, its links with the world of cinema and the most impressive virgin beaches and coves in the province.

Visit places as emblematic as El Faro de Cabo de Gata where you can see the reef of the sirens, know the interpretation centre of the grinders, where you can discover the formation of the Natural Park.

The wetlands and salt mines where a great diversity of species live and enjoy the beaches of Mónsul and Genoveses, areas where well known films such as "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" have been filmed.

In the town of San José there will be free time to enjoy its magnificent beach and recharge your batteries.

Discover also Los Escullos, one of the most photogenic areas due to the formation of its rocks and its castle where you can admire the incredible views.

And the village of Rodalquilar to see the area where the ancient gold mines were discovered in 1864 and take a look at its ruins to learn its history. 

To finish our film tour we will stop at the Cortijo de los Frailes, declared a Site of Cultural Interest and well known because the great Federico García Lorca was inspired by a tragic event that occurred there to write his play "Bodas de sangre". It is also known for appearing in films such as "The Good, the Ugly and the Bad" and in the Spanish series of "Los hombres de Paco".  

Around 18:00 we will return to Almería and Roquetas de Mar
