We will start at the Canalejas tourist office, where our guide will pick you up and give you the first indications of the tour, then we will pick up the bikes and head to the first stop at the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, where the City Hall is located.
We will go out through the Puerta Tierra wall to visit the beaches of the new part of the city and see the small Cuba in the Campo del Sur, an incomparable setting, a mosaic of cultures, where we will be able to observe the traces of the different civilisations that have passed through the city.
We will see the Old Cathedral, a former mosque, to delight us with the exquisite works of art housed inside.
We will continue to the Barrio del Pópulo, the oldest quarter of the city. We will walk through its medieval alleys and then we will go inside the galleries of the Roman Theatre, located underneath it.
Passing by the Casa del Almirante, a product of the city's Indian trade, we will arrive at the Cathedral, where we will learn about its different architectural styles, and shortly afterwards we will visit the commercial area of Cadiz in the direction of the Plaza de las Flores. Abundant palatial houses and noble residences, presided over by the Post Office next to the Mercado de Abastos, a place where we will tell you about the wide range of gastronomic delights that Cádiz has to offer.
Once we cross it, we will come across the Barrio de la Viña, a neighbourhood with a seafaring flavour, where the city is transformed into cheerful tenement houses, patios of flowers, yellow balconies and white houses, famous for its carnival and its tapas, a picturesque walk to the entrance of the Caleta Beach where we will visit the Castle of San Sebastián to enjoy one of the best views of Cádiz.
After this we will take a pleasant stroll along the coastline of Cadiz, passing through two of our charming parks, the Parque Genovés and the Alameda Apodaca to end our visit.
